Touching Rock Weekend

This is a weekend specially for indoor climbers who want to get started outdoors.  We will head to the Peak District and get stuck into some gritstone trad climbing, have a play on some limestone sport and a dabble at bouldering.  It is a perfect weekend to get you started with all the nuts and cams of outdoor Rock Climbing.  

It’s also a great place to meet like minded folk who may even become long term climbing partners.

Course Highlights

  • We will have a go at Trad climbing, Sport climbing and bouldering
  • All Safety equipment will be provided
  • 2 full days of expert instruction and coaching climbing on rock
  • Introduction of how to use nuts, cams, slings and other equipment
  • Introduction into anchors and belays
  • A bouldering session at one of the great Peak bouldering venues
  • A sport climbing session at one of the fantastic limestone crags
  • Ethics and access for outdoor climbing

Previous Experience

Should have tried indoor climbing either lead, top rope and/or bouldering
