Advanced Scrambling Weekend
The Advanced Scrambling Weekend is ideal for anyone who has experience of grade 1 scrambles, such as Crib Goch or Tryfan’s North Ridge, and wants to move onto more dramatic terrain. For this, the rope comes out and we will climb as many routes as possible. The main focus of this weekend is a guided experience rather than instructing. This means that we can cover as much high quality mountain as the team can manage. Overall this is a great introduction to anyone who has ambitions of developing into an independent mountaineer.
Course Highlights
- 2 days of guided scrambling on routes such as Cneifion Arete, Dolmen Ridge or Clogwyn Person Arete
- Safety equipment will be provided
- Introduction into the systems to protect difficult scrambles
- Efficient and safe movement on complex mountain terrain
Previous Experience
This course is best suited to experienced hill walkers who have some experience of grade 1 scrambles such as Crib Goch, Tryfan’s North Ridge, Helvellyn’s Striding Edge or Blencathra’s Sharp Edge.
